IL-17 promotes the invasiveness of breast cancer cell lines. Representative micrographs (magnification ×200) of Transwell filters following the
invasion of the four indicated tumour cell lines either resting, treated with IL-17
(100 ng/ml), treated with TNFα (40 ng/ml) or in the additional presence of a pan-matrix
metalloproteinase inhibitor GM6001 for 22 hours. Because of the absence of invasion
for the MCF7 and T47D cell lines, the micrographs in the additional presence of matrix
metalloproteinase inhibitor are not included.
