Redox-sensitive protein complexes regulate mRNA half-life. Variable mRNA splicing
produces protein isoforms: the cytoplasmic form is inactive, the nuclear form is active.
Nuclear receptors regulate transport of these isoforms depending on the cell proliferative
phase [43].
