Biological responses of NMuMG cells to transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β) treatment. (A) NMuMG cells were treated for 24 hours with 4 ng/ml TGF-β1 or left untreated (control), and were examined by phase-contrast microscopy. TGF-β1-treated cells exhibited an epithelial to mesenchymal transition. (B) NMuMG cells were treated for 24 hours with 4 ng/ml TGF-β1 or left untreated (control).
