Breast cancer patients with lobular cancer more commonly have a father than a mother diagnosed with cancer

Patients with lobular breast cancer are more likely to have a father diagnosed with cancer and this association is independent of previous family history of cancer, suggesting that other mechanisms such as sex-specific imprinting might be involved.
